REALLY:Dubai blames Drivers of 5 nationalities for three-fourths of all fatal road accidents in Dubai

Fatal road accidents are on the rise in Dubai and they are blaming it on citizens of other countries. According to their statistics, this is the second year in a row that these nationalities have been proven to cause mayhem in Dubai.

According to the Dubai traffic police, citizens of Pakistan, India, Emiratis, Bangladesh and Egypt are solely responsible for 1,128 accidentsin which 101 people died.

The five nationalities are, in descending order, Pakistanis, Indians, Emiratis, Bangladeshis and Egyptians.

1,702 people, or 72 per cent of the total of 2,344 persons, were injured in accidents in which citizens of these five countries were involved.

According to traffic police statistics, Pakistani drivers took the top slot in 2013, as they were involved in 373 accidents in which 33 people died and 577 persons suffered minor to moderate to serious injuries.

Indians were involved in 314 accidents in which 28 died and 432 people were injured.
They were followed by Emirati drivers who caused 298 road accidents, resulting in 30 deaths and injuries to 467 people.

The fourth nationality in the list was Bangladeshis who were involved in 78 accidents in which five people died and 111 injured.

Egyptians brought up the rear with 65 accidents, five deaths and injuries to 115 people.
