Nyong'o has been working the red carpet this awards season with her striking
and sleek ensembles.
And
the 30-year-old actress got in on the crop top trend, showing off several
inches of toned tummy at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon at The
Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday.
The
12 Years A Slave star sported a snow white top featuring a mash up of letters
and a skirt that ended mid-calf, both of which contrasted strikingly against
her dark skin tone.
She
dressed it up with a pair of white pointed toe pumps.
A
white clutch, gold nail polish, gold flower earrings, a ring, and a jewel
encrusted headband completed the look.
At
the event, Lupita was honoured with the Best Breakout Performance Award for her
work in 12 Years A Slave.
