ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood (BWIH) to Honor Lupita Nyong'o

ESSENCE's Black Women In Hollywood (BWIH) is an event that celebrates the top African-American women in the film industry. This year (February), they plan to honor newcomer Lupita Nyong'o with the Best Breakout Performance award for her stellar performance in 12 Years a Slave. 

ESSENCE's Editor-In-Chief gushed about the year 2013 being an extraordinary year of breakthroughs in Hollywood, specifically referring to the emergence of gifted actress Lupita Nyong'o as a rising star!
