Imomotimi Wilson (pictured left) a 30 year old man is on trial for refusing to wear a condom on the third time he had sex with a woman on a one-night-stand. I'm sorry, but I'm still caught up on "third time." Some can go that long in one night????? Back to the story.

According to the Daily Mail.....

A man on trial for rape for allegedly refusing to wear a condom on the third time he had sex with a woman in a one-night stand has told the jury it was 100 per cent consensual.
Imomotimi Wilson, 30, met his alleged victim in a pub and she agreed to go back to his house but told him she would only have sex if he used protection. They had consensual sex twice but on the third occasion claims that Wilson failed to use a condom.

I don't know how true this is..not sure if it's being used as part of a peace campaign, but this picture has been floating on the internet for a while and it finally caught my attention when I read the story behind it. It's gone viral with the caption below:

With everything going on in Syria (which I'll assume you all know), this little boy is said to have endured more than his age could handle in the ongoing war. This is impossible to verify, but the picture tells a story about the pain and suffering that exists in Syria right now.

Kenyan Filmmaker Ng'endo Mukii Wins Award at the Chicago International Film Festival

Yellow Fever, a short animated film by Kenyan filmmaker Ng'endo Mukii, won the Silver Hugo Award for Best Animated Short at the Chicago International Film Festival.

"I have been following The Chicago International Film Festival for over five years. It is one of the most prestigious festivals in the US, and when I received news that Yellow Fever had been accepted into the festival, I really could not believe it! I travelled to Chicago, just hoping to make some good connections and meet interesting people,” says Mukii.

She continued: “I heard Penelope Bartlett, the festival programmer, mention Yellow Fever. I looked up and she was talking towards me from the podium, and I realised I had won the Silver Hugo for Best Animated Short. It was not a very graceful moment, because my jaw dropped and I stayed that way, walking to accept my prize with my mouth still open! I was completely stunned."

Tamar Braxton's Husband Owes the IRS more than $3million in Back Taxes

Tamar Braxton's filthy rich, songwriter and producer husband, Vincent Herbert has just been slapped with a federal tax lien of more than $3million!

According to Radaronline, the Tamar and Vince reality star has been ordered to pay up back taxes to the tune of $3,325,107.70!!! You can find the original document here.

Ironically, back in 2011, Tamar was interviewed by Black Enterprise, and she admitted that "paying your taxes" was the best advice she's ever received. Here's an excerpt from that interview;

From Artisans in Kenya to High Fashion Models.

 Karen Walker, a New Zealand-based eye-wear designer is known for her out-of-this-world eye-wear campaigns. In the past, she has used  advanced style stars, adorable little children and albino models for her campaigns. 

The Spring 2014 season is said to be her best yet. In her new campaign, dubbed Visible, she cast Kenyan artisans as her models. Karen Walker opted to use this advertising platform to highlight the plight of poverty-stricken African regions, working with the United Nations' International Trade Centre's Ethical Fashion Initiative to produce unique pouches made by Kenyan artisans, which will accompany any eye-wear purchase. Then taking the project one step further, Ms Walker put the artisans who crafted each pouch infront of the camera, using them as stars for her new ad campaign.

The Ethical Fashion Initiative aims to promote fair and sustainable business rather than a reliance on aid in disadvantaged African communities (their motto is "not charity, just work"), bringing together craftspeople and international brands to produce products.
Walker's involvement will see each pair of the new-season (Spring 2014) Karen Walker sunglasses come with a screen-printed pouch made by Kenyan artisans from local materials, with more elaborate, beaded styles available to buy.

She looked stunning in the bright orange classic Chanel tweed skirt suit, white top and Manolo Blahnik heels, exposing just enough skin with the mini-skirt. She completed her look with straight locks, a long gold chain, several gold rings covering all fingers and a bold red lipstick. Good look for her.

Kenyan Lady Dies in a Car Crash in Berlin, Germany

A Kenyan lady by the name of Lucy Dashian lost her life yesterday after being involved in a head-on collision with a bus. She was pronounced dead at the scene, while the bus driver was slightly injured and taken to hospital in Oranienburg.

Sources say that she lost control of her car and rammed into the bus. It's alleged that the icy roads are to blame for the accident. She lost control of her jeep and ran into the oncoming bus while attempting to steer her car back on track.

Friends and relatives have been flooding her facebook page with heartfelt messages since the news of her demise emerged.

British newspaper Refers to Beyonce as a ‘Whore’

A British newspaper shocked bee-hives readers with a headline that referred to singer Beyonce as a whore’. The UK Metro quoted outraged parents who dubbed Beyonce a ‘whore’ for her disrespectful performance during the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday.

According to the Metro ;

The diva was dubbed a ‘whore’ by horrified parents who got more than they bargained for when the singer put it all on show at 8pm as she opened the 56th Grammy Awards with her racy track Drunk In Love.
Bey was hit with a barrage of criticism on the web when she took a leaf out of Rihanna’s book by spreading her legs on a chair in a G-string before she came undone during an apparent wardrobe malfunction.
Horrified viewer Mandy Flores wrote on Facebook: ‘Aren’t u a mother now!!? Thought u had class, how trashy and I couldn’t even let my 8 year old watch. U have never done anything like that! So disappointed.’
Others quickly reached for the remote control, with JJ Boogie tweeting: ‘Opening Grammy song performance inappropriate for young children. Thank you Beyonce. #ChannelChange.’
Another horrified woman said the 32-year-old mum looked like a ‘wh*re on stage’ at the Staples Center in LA.

Kanye West Settles Case with his assault Victim

Earlier this month, Kanye West was accused of punching a man for having called his fiance Kim Kardashian a "n*gga lover." The rapper became the focus of a battery investigation after the reportedly chased the 18-year boy into a chiropractor's office and punched him for hurling the racial slurs at Kim.Incase you missed the story, you can find it HERE.

Fast foward to today, the victim decided not to press any charges against Kanye, instead asked for monetary compensation. According to TMZ, the victim and Kanye have finally come to an agreement and settled the issue out of court. The the victim agreed not to go ahead with the prosecution, scoring more than $250,000 for a settlement. Yes , you read that right!

Here's what TMZ gathered from the case:

Sources familiar with the negotiations tell us ... the young man who allegedly hurled racial epithets at Kim earlier this month has agreed to the civil settlement and now feels satisfied enough that he does NOT want to go forward with a criminal prosecution.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the D.A. has not decided whether to charge Kanye with battery. The reality is ... there's almost no chance of that happening.  First, the D.A. now has an uncooperative victim.  Second, the victim's alleged racial epithets will not sit well with the jury.  And there are probably lots of Kanye fans in the jury pool.

We're told during the settlement negotiations the victim's demand soared to the upper 6 figures, so $250K is just a fraction.

Trouble in paradise for Rapper T.I and wife Tiny?

Several sources allege that rapper Clifford "T.I" Harris and his wife, former Xscape singer Tameka "Tiny" Harris have called it quits. Allegations began when the ATL power couple took to instagram and twitter to vent their frustrations. 

In a cryptic post on T.I's instagram, he said that his life had gone through a major change in the last 24 hours and the only thing that mattered to him was God and his children, but no mention of wife Tiny. You guessed it right, hours later, Tiny followed suit with a post of her own. Damn social media!

According to blogger Sandra Rose, this was initially a rumor, but she just confirmed from her reliable sources that the couple did indeed separate. She confirms it HERE. It is alleged that trouble has been brewing in paradise for a while due to T.I's infidelities and lack of support for Tiny's business ventures.

Who knew we'd get to a point where as Africans, we'd prefer mixed-race or lighter complexioned babies to our own beautiful dark-skinned munchkins!

It's sad that after all these decades after colonization some people still don't have pride in themselves and a sense of self worth. The belief that lighter is better is just a throw back to the slave and master mentality. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being mixed race but, there is nothing right about having a mixed race baby solely due to an inferiority complex.

According to one Augustine N.K. Boateng, who is the founder of half-caste babies, half-cast/ mixed race children "bridge world racial gaps and transform Africa into a dream land!" He reasons that their fair complexion puts them on a fairly higher pedestal and are destined for a brighter future! The Half-caste babies entrepreneur also prides himself of giving women and couples half-caste babies with “mental and physical beauty”.

Nigerian Woman Disowns “Gay Cat” For Displaying Same Sex Attraction!

Wonders never cease!!!!!!!

A middle-aged Nigerian woman yesterday in Lafia, Nasarawa State, raised eye-brows by publicly disowning her cat whom she had kept as a pet for seven years for what she termed “an unnatural sexual behavior” which she finds disturbing and “a contradiction of the laws of nature.”

The cat, named Bull, was alleged to be in the habit of making sexual advances only to other male cats in the house even though there are several other female cats.

Neighbours attested that none of the other cats born while the cat was in the house has it’s color, lending credence to the fact that it has not been able to mate with other female cats in its home or anywhere in the environ.
The cat owner who expressed a strong belief in the divine purpose of creating male and female of every creature to fulfil an ordained purpose of procreation said, “anybody interested in this gay cat can have it because I have no further use of it.”

The cat’s renunciation which attracted members of the public was however dramatic as no one wanted to take ownership of such a cat.
After its rejection, many residents of the area have been thronging the house located on Gboko Street, Tudun Gwandara area of Lafia, the state capital to see things for themselves.

 Divorce really looks good on Khloe Kardashian Odom! The Keeping up with the Kardashians reality star seems to be taking advantage of her single status and steadily revamping her image. Not only has she been shedding pounds and lightening her locks, she just refreshed her new blonde do with an ombre do.

Khloe has been keen to show off her increasingly shrinking figure and Saturday was no different. She made a stop at Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas in a form fitting two-piece ensemble that hug her new curves in all the right places.

For those who keep up with my blog, I posted a controversial post about the "black woman bondage chair" some time last week. It was about a Russian magazine that came under fire for an editorial photo showing an interviewee seated atop a chair designed to look like a black woman with a belt around her waist and thighs and her legs up in the air.

The magazine later offered an apology, but looks like that was not enough for a fellow Russian Alexander Kargaltsev, a gay New York City-based photographer and gay activist. In protest, he decided to stage his own response to the "outrageous and tasteless" portrait with an image of a naked black man seated on a naked white man, whose legs are folded up to create a "chair."

Kargaltsev explained the idea behind his photo to Out There Magazine, saying:

It deeply saddens me to see that racism is now being glamorized and thus made not only acceptable but trendy by the likes of Ms. Zhukova. My own composition reverses the visual injustice and offense perpetrated by that editorial and in a way restores the equality of genders, races, and sexual orientations. Sadly, I understand very well that my work will be seen by most Russians as provocative and inappropriate, while that repulsive image (published on Martin Luther King’s Day of all days in a year) will hardly make anyone over there shake their head.

The queen of finding creative ways to show off her enviable assets, Rihanna wowed in this lemon yellow dress, which featured a plunging neckline and a thigh exposing parted skirt at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy gala in Los Angeles. Looks like she also just re-invented the jaw-dropping plunging moment.

Bad girl Riri is famous for flaunting her incredibly toned figure in a nearly endless stream of skimpy outfits, but this time around, she took it a step further as she wore a gown that threatened to expose more than she bargained for.

It's reported that she danced on her seat because she was clearly concerned that her garment exposed her as she swayed and was frequently seen holding it in place with the intention of avoiding any wardrobe malfunctions.

Kenya's First Lady to participate in London Marathon

The 2013 London marathon will not only welcome a star studded field of Kenyan marathoners, but also an unlikely guest, Kenyan first lady her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta. She  will be on the starting line up as she seeks to raise funds set to go into improving mother and child health care facilities in the country.

According to yahoo, the Kenyan First Lady will join other celebrities in the April 13th race to help create awareness on health issues facing Kenyan women and children.

To prepare for the event, Mrs Kenyatta has been training near her residence at State House in Nairobi, with former London marathon winner, Douglas Wakiihuri, taking her through the paces.

Sacked driver burns himself to death in employer’s matatu in Nyeri

A matatu driver literally set himself on fire and burnt to death inside his former employer's car after being allegedly sacked!

According to Sahara tribune Joseph Karanja, 57, had delivered a new matatu to his employer who resides at the teachers' quarters at Ngooru Secondary school. Apparently, Mr. Karanja had worked as a driver for this particular employer for one and a half years and had been warned on numerous occasions about his reckless driving, but he'd failed to improve. His employer allegedly decided to sack him upon delivery of the new vehicle.

The Real Housewives of Miami reality star Joanna Krupa managed to bare almost all in an asymmetrical black gown with shockingly  sheer cut-out panel that was remarkably similar to the gown Paris Hilton wore to an earlier event. The star left almost nothing to the imagination when she attended the OK! magazine pre-Grammy Awards bash in Los Angeles yesterday.

 With sheer panels holding together patches of black fabric, Krupa’s gown was about as daring as you can get on the red carpet, as was the shimmering Haus of Milani design Hilton wore the night before.

French President Francois Hollande and First Lady Split After Alleged Affair

After two weeks of embarrassing tabloid revelations, France's first couple has called it quits. French president Francoise Hollande and longtime partner Valérie Trierweiler have officially separated, with Hollande announcing "the end of their life together." 

In a statement made to Agence France-Presse, Hollande, speaking as a private citizen, said, "I have ended the life in common that I have shared with Valérie Trierweiler."  Saturday's brief announcement ends an unprecedented 18-month period in which Trierweiler, 48,had been France's de facto first lady. A twice-divorced mother of three, Trierweiler had been Hollande's companion and partner since 2007.

Forget about the drama on the small screen! The behind-the-scenes of the reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta is even more dramatic!

It's been about 5 years (2004-2009) since Apollo Nida, Phaedra Park's husband was released from jail for auto title fraud and looks like he's back at it again...not with vehicles though...he was arrested again, this time on charges of bank fraud and identity theft.

Damn Apollo....his is a classic example of the definition of "you can take a girl out of the ghetto, but not the ghetto out of the girl!"

Paris Hilton goes Underwear-free at Diddy's pre-Grammy bash

 Socialite Paris Hilton also got the "sheer-dress" memo that's been going around Hollywood, especially late last year. 
The 32-year-old heiress went underwear-free as she sported a black full-length gown with an entirely sheer side panel to Diddy's 4th Annual Red Carpet Pre-Grammy Celebration in Los Angeles. The socialite is never one to shy away from a bit of controversy, and as a result has clocked up more column space in magazines over the years than we can care to remember, but apparently she's still set on bringing the shock factor.
Clearly confident in the dress, Paris happily posed for photographers, entirely aware that she could have an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction if she turned too quickly or was snapped at the wrong angle.

Lupita Nyong'o Visits 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'

Kenyan beauty Lupita Nyong'o made a truly adorable appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night. The 12 Years a Slave star made her way to snowy NYC between her multiple award show stops. 

After taking home both a SAG and Critics' Choice Award, Lupita shared her thoughts on fellow red carpet fixture Emma Thompson, calling the iconic actress "a riot" and reflecting on that one time that Emma photo bombed her on the red carpet. 

She also weighed in on the debatable pronunciation of "GIF" and shared adorable stories about her family, including how they reacted to her much-deserved Oscar nomination.
