Rihanna's Cover and Spread in VOGUE Magazine

Dubbed "Fashion's most exciting muse," pop princess Rihanna just landed her THIRD Vogue cover!

Days after her unofficial Vogue cover leaked online, fans' tongues were left wagging but wait no more. The official cover and spread have finally been availed and as usual, the self proclaimed bad girl slayed it. For the March 2014 issue, she poses in numerous high fashion pieces that represent her risk-taking style, that ranges from tomboy chic to runway queen. The interview was conducted by Vogue’s Plum Sykes, who trailed Rihanna on a shopping trip in New York City, while getting the tea on Riri’s new move to the Big Apple.

Rihanna also opened up about her tomboy style when she was younger, never really wanting to be famous, and knowing that there are chicks out there who have more talent, but she is able to connect more with her fans through her fashion, which is a big part of who she is.

On moving to NYC
“I’ve downsized. I want a smaller closet. I want simpler. I want to just take it back to what’s important.[...]When I’m on tour, if I walk out of the hotel to go to Starbucks, it’s like, thousands of fans are walking there with me. It’s a lot. And that’s why I don’t do much on tour. I just hide out in my hotel.”

Drake ‘disgusted’ at Rolling Stone for replacing him with Philip Seymour Hoffman cover.

Rapper Drake took to his twitter account to vent about Rolling Stone replacing his cover with that of the late actor Philip Hoffman. The actor's sudden death interrupted a lot of things, a major one being his filming project, so it it comes off as heartless for Drake to point fingers at Rolling Stone for ditching him at the very last minute. Sources close to him claim that, his main issue is that he felt tricked by the magazine. He did the interview on condition that he'd be on the cover. Not sure why the rapper was so desperate for this particular cover.

Lupita Nyong'o Covers "Backstage" Magazine

In yet another cover and editorial, the new Hollywood it-girl Miss Lupita Nyong'o is gracing the cover of Backstage Magazine and spilling the beans on her Oscar nomination and her time at Yale.

Below are some excerpts from the interview.

In the article, she talks about landing her breakthrough role in 12 Year A Slave and auditioning for Steve.
“I give myself homework when I have an audition. I give myself goals, and that’s how I check how I’m doing. It can be something simple like ‘listen,’ or ‘find your feet.’ And then afterward it’s an assessment, so in a way it’s not about booking the job or not. It’s about what I learned as an actor about that character. And if I can pinpoint something, then I’m in good shape. And if it’s all a blur, then not so good.”

When asked how she moved from her role in 12 Years to her current feature, Non-Stop, she said,
“As actors, you become an expert at starting over. Every single role brings with it an ignorance and an insecurity, and so you have to approach it with the same curiosity and humility. I’m always nervous. Doesn’t matter how many times I do this. But I remind myself it’s because I care. Steve would say, ‘Fail and then fail better!’ And that environment was so liberating. It’s not about getting it right. It’s about getting it truthful.”

Your guess is as good as mine; the Mexico-born, Kenya-raised beauty's secrets are simple, stylish and yet very inspiring. No wonder she's racking up those style accolades—from best-dressed shout-outs to a spot in a Miu Miu fashion campaign.

She revealed to the magazine that when it comes to her skin, she uses natural oils only, and for her face, she uses avocado oil and Hawaaian kukui oil. "I keep things, simple, natural and straightforward," she says.

Hollywood never looked so good!  

Vanity Fair released a sneak peek of their 2014 Hollywood issue on Monday. For the 20th annual cover, the magazine selected 12 stars, some veteran, others up-and-coming.

The star-studded, three-panel foldout cover "celebrates a year of spectacular film with a group of distinguished actors. Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), and George Clooney (Gravity) are featured on the main cover shot.

The pull-out cover features Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Chadwick Boseman (42), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Lea Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color).

Standout red carpet newcomer Nyong'o looks gorgeous in a long gold gown. The 30-year-old Kenyan actress, who has consistently been winning best-dressed this award season, shows off her stunning, fit physique in the gorgeous dress.

Actress Lupita Nyong’o Poses For DuJour

The “12 Years A Slave” actress and Golden Globe nominee has just become the new face of Miu Miu and she’s also snagged the covers of numerous magazines including W and DuJour.

She  is also featured in the Telegraph, where she discusses first realizing that acting was a feasible goal, as well as the horrifying things she learned about slavery while studying for her breakout role as Patsey.

On growing up in the suburbs of Nairobi, Kenya
I loved make-believe. I was the child in the cupboard playing with my Barbies. [The Color Purple] was the first time I’d seen someone like me on screen. Whoopi Goldberg had my kind of hair and was dark like me. I thought, maybe I could do this for a living.

On her upbringing: “I’m a lady. My mother, my grandmother and my great-grandmother raised ladies. We don’t breed skanky, coquettish, giddy little girls. We breed women.”
On her roles translating to her personality: “It’s so funny: The characters I played in Columbiana and Avatar, on the surface, there’s what appears to be strength, but it’s sugarcoating an immense vulnerability. I am tough, but I’m also a very vulnerable person. I trust everyone. For many years, I thought, I need to stop being this way, but no, I just need to learn from it.”
On modern women: “Women aren’t wimpy. They don’t complain all the time. They can open up jars! They can f**king save the day! They can support their whole family. They can support their men. Half of my friends make more money than their male partners.”

Lady Gaga is certainly no stranger to posing in the nude.

So, while it's not exactly shocking that Mother Monster has opted to put her lady parts on show in a new shoot for the latest cover of Candy magazine, it definitely got our attention nevertheless.

It seems as if Gaga simply wanted to share her nether regions—pubic hair and all—with the rest of the world. (How very, um, kind of her?)

Lupita Nyong'o is the latest celeb to grace the cover and pages of DuJour magazine where she shares her upbringing, adjusting to fame, how she landed her role on the movie that put her on the map and many more.

Here are some excerpts from her interview...

“When I learned Steve McQueen was directing and Brad Pitt was producing, I thought, Well, this is huge,” she says. “I had no expectation of getting the role at all; it was just too out there for me to think I had a chance. So I approached the audition like a rehearsal. It was my chance to have that role for 10 minutes, and I owned it. Then I got the part and the panic began.”

“When you’re a public figure, people have an ownership of you in a way,” she says. “People would interrupt our dinners all the time to have a moment with my father, and we’d understand because it was their one moment to have with him. I grew up observing that dynamic.”
