It's sad that after all these decades after colonization some people still don't have pride in themselves and a sense of self worth. The belief that lighter is better is just a throw back to the slave and master mentality. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being mixed race but, there is nothing right about having a mixed race baby solely due to an inferiority complex.
According to one Augustine N.K. Boateng, who is the founder of half-caste babies, half-cast/ mixed race children "bridge world racial gaps and transform Africa into a dream land!" He reasons that their fair complexion puts them on a fairly higher pedestal and are destined for a brighter future! The Half-caste babies entrepreneur also prides himself of giving women and couples half-caste babies with “mental and physical beauty”.
His mission according to his fb and website, is to bridge the racial gap between Africa and the rest of the world by promoting mixed race reproduction and developing these children for a "new Africa." Mr. Boateng's campaign targets both African couples and single women who have the desire of giving birth to half-caste babies the opportunity of a lifetime at a relatively affordable cost. Sadly enough, this is burgeoning in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
It was further revealed that Boateng provides gametes from almost all nationalities including the UK and the US at a cost of 3,000 US Dollars upwards, depending on the process and the individual’s request.
